Shelfery Product Requirements (Not Yet Written)¶
This document is a placeholder. Product requirements gathering has not begun for Shelfery.
Why this hasn't been written yet¶
Requirements should be derived from an approved product brief, which does
not yet exist (see product/product-brief.md). Writing requirements
before that would mean inventing them without a grounded product
definition to derive them from — which is explicitly out of scope for this
venture's current documentation.
What this document will eventually contain¶
Once product definition work begins, this document is expected to hold the
functional and non-functional requirements for Shelfery's product,
including references to the domain concepts established in
ventures/shelfery/docs/domain/, and respecting the constraints in
ventures/shelfery/docs/domain/trust-safety-and-food-claims.md wherever
requirements touch food freshness, storage, or safety.
What must happen before this can be written¶
product/product-brief.mdmust exist and be approved.- Target users and jobs (
docs/strategy/target-users-and-jobs.md) should have moved beyond pure hypothesis toward some validated understanding. - A deliberate decision to begin requirements work, made by the Venture Lead or an equivalent authority.
No specific requirements — functional, technical, or otherwise — should be assumed or invented in the absence of that process.
