Shelfery AI Context Loading Order

This document restates, for Shelfery specifically, the venture-level portion of the reading sequence described generally in the company's ../../../../docs/ai/context-loading-order.md. It exists so an agent working in this venture has a concrete, linkable checklist rather than having to infer the sequence.

Required reading order for Shelfery work

  1. Root AGENTS.md (repository root) — company-wide operating contract.
  2. ventures/shelfery/AGENTS.md — this venture's operating contract, including the reading order summarized here and the hard constraints on brand independence and food-safety review.
  3. ventures/shelfery/docs/strategy/venture-brief.md — what Shelfery is, with known facts / assumptions / open questions.
  4. ventures/shelfery/docs/domain/glossary.md — domain vocabulary.
  5. ventures/shelfery/docs/domain/domain-concepts.md — conceptual domain model (household, storage location, inventory item, freshness concept).
  6. ventures/shelfery/docs/domain/trust-safety-and-food-claims.md — the trust and food-claims standard; required reading before producing any content touching freshness, storage, or safety.
  7. ventures/shelfery/docs/strategy/brand-and-positioning.md — provisional brand direction and the independent-identity constraint.
  8. ventures/shelfery/docs/ai/guardrails.md — Shelfery-specific prohibited behaviors for AI agents.
  9. Any applicable document under ventures/shelfery/product/ for the specific task — noting that most of product/ is currently placeholder content, not a real specification.
  10. Any applicable ADRs under ventures/shelfery/docs/decisions/ and, if relevant, company-wide ADRs under ../../../../docs/decisions/.

Relationship to the company-wide sequence

This sequence is a Shelfery-specific elaboration of the general context loading order defined at ../../../../docs/ai/context-loading-order.md. Where the company-wide document describes the general shape of "read root, then venture, then task-specific docs," this document fills in the concrete Shelfery file list. If the two ever appear to conflict on sequencing philosophy (not file list), the company-wide document controls.
