Architecture Documentation Index¶
This directory describes the structural shape of the Devonshire Digital repository and the company/venture/product model it encodes. These are descriptive and explanatory documents, not policy in themselves — where a document here states a rule, it is restating or summarizing a decision recorded elsewhere (typically in docs/decisions/ or docs/governance/).
Documents¶
repository-architecture.md— what each top-level directory in this repository is for.company-venture-product-model.md— the five-layer hierarchy from company governance down to product implementation, with Shelfery and Digital Products examples.inheritance-model.md— a short summary of how the layers inherit and constrain each other, pointing to the canonical authority document.artifact-lifecycle.md— how a documentation artifact moves from idea to draft to approved to deprecated, and where it lives in the repository at each stage.registry-architecture.md— the machine-readable registries underportfolio/and how they relate to Markdown documentation.future-repository-strategy.md— the open question of whether this repository stays multi-purpose, becomes a monorepo, or splits further, and what might inform that decision later.
